Customer Development (CD) is what we call our Sales organization at Unilever. Customer Development works closely with our customers to pioneer new products, build categories, and deploy best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities.

Job Purpose

Assistant CSP Manager is responsible for driving trade marketing efficiency and effectiveness while continually looking for growth opportunities of the category and channels they are in charge.

Your Job Description

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  1. Channel & Category Development
    • Translate customer & shopper insights into business building opportunities within specific customers/channels.
    • Build customer/channel-specific trade plans to align with total trade category plan and deliver category & brand objectives.
  2. Innovation & Project Coordination
    • Coordinate customer input during innovation funnel stages.
    • Trade launch planning and execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  3. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
    • Provide input and assist in preparing CD data for monthly and quarterly S&OP cycles.
    • Consolidate insights from field teams and CMI to support demand forecasting.
  4. Net Revenue Management (NRM)
    • Assist in tracking trade investments and promotional effectiveness.
    • Support analysis of pack and SKU mix to optimize profitability.
  5. Customer & Shopper Execution
    • Implement channel and shopper blueprints and strategies across traditional, modern, and digital channels.
    • Monitor execution of 6Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, and Performance) in channels.

Experiences & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Category Management.
  • Strong analytical and digital skills.
  • Basic understanding of shopper marketing and CATMAN principles.

Skills

  • Experience with project coordination or innovation management.
  • Exposure to S&OP or demand planning processes.
  • Deep understanding of working with external partners and collaborating to provide solutions.
  • Analytical mindset: Comfortable with Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
  • Detail-oriented: Manages multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agility: Thrives amid frequent strategy pivots.
