As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing work at a field site, providing quality service to the customer.
He/She will provide the planning necessary for the job including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
Your Job Description
As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Performing autonomously the installation and/or maintenance activities of PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001, and other rotating equipment in the field at customer sites.
Performing minor and major maintenance of equipment following the Baker Hughes Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
Providing technical supervision and advisory services to customer representatives and site teams to coordinate activities at the customer job site.
Executing all required responsibilities safely by following all Baker Hughes Service applicable processes and procedures.
Providing expert troubleshooting on the equipment under maintenance and/or installation in the field.
Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).
Performing other related duties as required according to the specified scope of work.
The Job Requirements
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Have a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (please indicate clearly on resume).
Minimum of 8 years’ experience mainly specialized in PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001.
Capable of carrying out the following activities without supervision:
Minor Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
Hot Gas Path Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
Major Inspection on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
Commissioning activities on PGT5, PGT10, MS5001/2, MS6001, MS7001
Be able to provide the planning necessary for the job, including instructions to the crew and equipment used.
Must have excellent Functional/Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Team-working skills.
Capable to work offshore.
Be able to travel flexibly at short notice and be away from your home location for undefined periods of time up to 70%.
