Your Job Description
Ensure that country setup adheres to the Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor, and auditor requirements.
Maintain overall compliance with national and NRC policies and procedures.
Train staff on anti-corruption policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Provide regular compliance analysis and reports.
Implement the anti-corruption policy.
Conduct and follow up on spot checks to ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and documentation across various departments.
Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
Manage, coordinate, and act as the focal point for all donor financial audits in the NRC Nigeria office.
Ensure that financial risks are identified, assessed, and controlled effectively.
The Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Auditor or Compliance Manager in a humanitarian or recovery context.
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Studies, or Economics (Essential).
Membership in a professional accounting body such as ICAN, ACCA, or CIMA is an asset.
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Studies (Desirable).
Experience working in complex and volatile environments.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Knowledge of own leadership skills and profile.
Strong proficiency in computer software and modern accounting systems.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of the Nigerian context.
Knowledge of local languages in North East Nigeria (Hausa).
Experience with start-up, exit, or similar organizational phases.
