Leadership
Provide positive and professional leadership to technicians in all departments.
Contribute to the goal zero drive of HSE.
Provide advice and support to all projects within the Group on matters relating to any issue within the remit of mechanical commissioning works.
Core / Technical
Takes part in project planning & scheduling; prepares and keeps up-to-date the mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning scope plans and procedures.
Assists the Commissioning Manager to coordinate overall pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up processes for mechanical scope in new and existing pipelines and facilities from initial construction planning through final handover to production operations/Owner.
Participates in developing commissioning plans and procedures together with other discipline engineers and operations personnel.
Takes part in project review meetings to ensure commissioning requirements have been fully complied with.
Assists with assessment and selection of mechanical pre-commissioning subcontractors, including review of subcontractor proposals (equipment list, personnel, consumables, qualifications).
Performs engineering tasks associated with pre-commissioning activities, including site work under the direction of the Pre-Commissioning Lead.
Assists in preparation of punch lists for activities to be completed before pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Provides formal and informal reporting of work progress and status.
Ensures compliance with Quality System Documentation requirements; reviews engineering documents for overall commissioning completeness and approval.
Develops and implements work procedures effectively.
Develops appropriate ITRs (Inspection and Test Records), also known as A and B check-sheets, ensuring compatibility with design and equipment datasheets for each tag item on P&ID for review and approval.
Generates (via client software or Excel) DAC, MAC, SAC, and FAC certificates for completed systems for handover from construction to commissioning.
Develops and maintains client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships.
Develops and tracks master punch-list registers using client proprietary software or Excel, capturing discipline, subsystem, equipment tags, and status of cleared/outstanding items.
Monitors and supports subcontractors on site.
Ensures effective implementation and adherence to Quality, Health & Safety policies during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Develops systems and subsystems for the mechanical discipline.
The Job Requirements
Requirements
HND or above in Engineering
Professional Trade Certificate
Minimum of 7 years in Mechanical Installation, Calibration,
Troubleshooting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role,
experience in Completion Software and Commissioning processes
