The Job
Coordinate the activities of supervisors and resolve issues that come up in the course of production.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, servicing, and replacement to maintain optimum performance.
Plan and implement proper preventive maintenance schedule for the packing section.
Review the shift report and solve outstanding issues to avoid downtimes.
Assign jobs to supervisors and resolve issues that come up in the course of production.
Supervise the calibration and maintenance of packaging equipment to ensure optimum functionality.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, servicing, and replacement of all packaging machines and other equipment.
Get information from store on stock level inventory for spare parts.
Confirm contractors’ jobs are acceptable before store accepts them.
Train members of the team and bring them up to speed.
The Job Requirements
The Person Must Have
Have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and industrial machinery design and operation.
Be skilled in diagnosing faults, performing reliability analysis, and driving preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
Demonstrate ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and equipment manuals.
Possess solid analytical, planning, and project execution skills to support continuous improvement and plant efficiency.
Exhibit strong commitment to safety, quality, and engineering best practices.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating clearly and collaborating to support operations and maintenance goals.
Proven record improving OEE, MTBF, and MTTR, through structured maintenance systems.
Experience in project management, equipment overhauls, upgrades, and commissioning.
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: HND/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Added advantage: Project Management Certification, Skilled in CMMS/ERP (e.g., D365, SAP), CRMp certified and digital maintenance planning.
Experience
Minimum: 5 years in similar industry.
Added advantage: Pasta Experience and Application of Root Cause Analysis, FMECA, WCM/Lean practices to sustain improvement.
