The Job
Supervise and carry out maintenance and other assignments as instructed for effective and efficient performance of mechanical systems in Offal and Pelletizing.
Conduct inspections, ensure that safety procedures are being adhered to, and maintain inventory of machine parts. Troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
Ensure mechanical technicians follow predetermined checklist in performance of preventative maintenance of facility mechanical equipment and systems.
Utilize designs and drawings to plan and layout installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and ensure applicable project specifications and industry standards are adequately satisfied.
Develop and implement standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity.
Enforce the compliance of team members with safety, health, and environment standards.
The Job Requirements
The Person Must
Have solid knowledge of mechanical maintenance and pellet press mill operations and maintenance.
Be skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing mechanical components and rolling equipment.
Possess strong leadership skills to supervise technicians and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.
Demonstrate hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Maintain high safety standards, precision, and efficiency in all mechanical operations.
Qualifications
5 O’ level Credits including English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings/Technical qualifications.
OND in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in Pellet Press Mill or FMCG.
