Technical Projects and Continuous Improvement is responsible for the preparation and implementation of Technical and processes Improvements to optimize overall plant efficiency and to bring the equipment infrastructure and processes in line with group practices and ambitions. This senior managerial role reports directly to the Technical Director and is responsible for leading Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, CAPEX projects, and engineering modifications to enhance machine performance, process efficiency, cost competitiveness, and safety. The role acts as a key driver of operational excellence, aligning the plant’s improvement roadmap, 3 year masterplan, with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and the Group’s strategic objectives.

What you'll do
Engineering & Project Management
Lead CAPEX projects and major engineering modifications aimed at improving machine performance, process reliability, and cost efficiency.
Manage major projects per year with savings > €50k, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with measurable impact.
Conduct pre-studies and feasibility analyses for new projects, coordinating with Operations and Etex Engineering where required.
Continuous Improvement Leadership
Enhancement (safety, quality, process efficiency, equipment reliability, and cost optimization).
Ensure the effective deployment of WCM tools and methodologies, including Problem Solving, 5S, Standard Work, Performance Visual Management, and Kaizen.
Train, coach, and mentor department managers, engineers, and technicians in CI tools and structured problem-solving techniques.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure that the Company Safety Policy and procedures are fully implemented and understood at all levels.
Conduct safety observations, promote safety talks, and ensure a proactive safety culture within the team.
Identify and implement engineering solutions to reduce risks and move closer to EU safety standards.
Performance & Cost Optimization
Drive initiatives to improve OEE, productivity, and material utilization while maintaining quality and compliance with specifications.
Conduct root cause analyses (R-EWO, QP-EWO, HERCA, A3) to identify causes of non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
The Job Requirements
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (BEng, MSc, MEng). Strong background or specialization in automation, process control, or industrial systems is highly desirable.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a process or manufacturing industry, preferably in continuous improvement, production, maintenance, or engineering roles.
Proven track record in implementing Lean or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies in a factory environment.
Demonstrated success in leading CAPEX projects, technical modifications, and cost improvement initiatives.
Hands-on experience in maintenance management and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Prior exposure to cross-functional collaboration between production, maintenance, quality, and technical departments.
Good communication skills with local technicians, able to communicate clearly and propose workable solutions.
Ability to communicate correctly with external representatives (specialists, machine manufacturers) regarding problems requiring assistance.
Ability to explain requirements to the purchasing organisation to define correct specifications for efficient and fast procurement.
Excellent communicator for convincing colleagues on proposed solutions, ready to demonstrate relevancy by implementing them.
Multi-skilled generalist technician for assisting and guiding the local team while facing technical issues (problem solver).
Sufficient understanding of the concrete tile process to collaborate with local technicians on problem solving and performance improvement.
