The Area Business Manager will coordinate sales, collections, and distribution operations for Sun King Solar products sold on a Pay-As-You-Basis ("EasyBuy" Business unit). The role involves overseeing a network of Energy Officers and ensuring business growth through sales, timely collections, and sustainable expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Hire & Retain Energy Officers: Recruit, train, and maintain a team of at least 40 Energy Officers using village influencers.
Training Energy Officers: Conduct training sessions on sales, collections, products, technical aspects, inventory, and logistics.
Provide Role Clarity: Define tasks, sales & collection plans, and targets for Energy Officers while ensuring they have proper support.
Daily Field Visits: Conduct weekly check-ins with Energy Officers, assist in sales, and address concerns.
Work with Energy Officers: Conduct joint fieldwork, including night activations, market visits, and community engagement to boost sales.
Exceed Sales & Collection Targets: Meet or exceed monthly targets and provide regular updates to the Regional Business Manager.
Drive Field Sales Processes: Train Energy Officers on collection follow-ups, customer issue resolution, and repossession protocols.
Monitor Competitors: Stay informed about competing companies and take strategic measures to protect Sun King's market share.
Resolve Customer Issues: Deliver world-class customer service, ensuring timely resolutions for product and payment issues.
Manage Marketing & Expenses: Provide marketing materials and necessary equipment while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Conduct Review Meetings: Organize weekly meetings with Energy Officers and Regional Business Managers to resolve issues and drive motivation.
Grow Retail Presence: Expand the retail network with the help of an Area Retail Coordinator.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent with at least 3 years of sales experience.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong customer care experience.
Innovative thinker with problem-solving abilities.
Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills.
Excellent relationship-building and coaching abilities.
