Job Summary
New Incentives is looking to identify Assistant Field Managers to help expand its team dedicated to preventing child mortality in Niger state.
The Assistant Field Manager will support a New Incentives’ program that utilizes cash transfers to encourage mothers to complete the immunization schedule of their infants. The program is operated in cooperation with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board in NW & NE.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Field Managers in providing cash transfer disbursements at public clinics to increase immunization coverage and retention.
Ensure high-quality program operations at selected clinics.
Provide leadership and supervision for selected staff members.
Build and maintain relationships with employees, clinic staff, and other stakeholders.
Context
Over the past decade, Nigeria has significantly expanded vaccination services for infants. However, demand for vaccinations remains relatively low. New Incentives encourages caregivers to fully vaccinate their infants through conditional cash transfers, ensuring babies are protected against deadly diseases. The cash transfers help mothers afford transport to clinics and compensate for lost income.
Required Qualifications
Fluency in local languages/dialects spoken in all states of operation, especially Hausa.
Minimum of ND, preferably in health or natural sciences.
Willingness to work at remote public clinics and field locations at least four days per week.
Experience with the Nigerian health system and clinic documentation, particularly related to infant health and vaccinations.
Experience in collecting, synthesizing, and analyzing health data (desirable).
Strong financial management and attention to detail.
Hard-working, result-oriented, and loyal professional.
Passion for helping others and reducing infant mortality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hausa dialects.
Responsiveness to email and phone communication.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet browsers, and smartphones.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, feedback-driven work environment.
