Join Dangote Cement Plc as the Deputy General Manager of the Packing
Plant
Play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and
performance of the cement packing process. The ideal candidate will
be responsible for overseeing all activities related to packing
operations, including optimizing processes to enhance production
capacity and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the operations of the packing plant to
ensure maximum productivity and adherence to quality standards.
Develop and implement efficient packing processes and procedures
to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
Oversee the implementation of the approved packing plant plan to
meet established targets.
Ensure packing processes align with agreed-upon procedures and
guidelines.
Obtain clearance from the Head of Production and Head of Quality
Control & Assurance before commencing packing and loading.
Supervise packing plant shift teams to ensure efficient
execution of activities and achievement of daily production
targets.
Ensure timely maintenance of packing plant equipment.
Oversee packing plant machine operators to ensure safety and
optimal use of equipment.
Address issues at the packing plant promptly to prevent delays
and losses.
Maintain a clean and organized packing plant environment.
Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Packing Plant.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 20 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with
at least 5 years in a managerial role within a packing plant
environment, preferably in the cement industry.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of packing operations and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in software applications related to production and
inventory management.
Ability to implement process improvements and ensure operational
efficiency.
