Description

Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures. Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.

In addition to technical ability, candidates should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products.
  • Coordinate and communicate various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering teams affecting design, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate and comment on work performed by the Contractor and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Review discipline design drawings and documents.
  • Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements, ensuring proper processing.
  • Steward discipline engineering queries from Contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Keep the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
  • Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations.
  • Promote capital efficiency in engineering design.
  • Support internal engineering general interest or Global Practice initiatives as requested by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related specialty.
  • Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English, especially in technical and business communications.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, technically sound in upstream oil and gas facilities/process engineering.
  • Primary contact for facilities modifications, topside equipment capacity assessment, and new tie-in requirements.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards related to topside facilities modification.
  • Expertise in process safety, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies.
  • Strong coordination skills across multiple functions with a passion for delivering projects within deadlines.
  • Proficient in process engineering software (e.g., Hysys) and Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
