If you are those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Digital Coordinator to join our team in Abuja, FCT.  The ICLA Digital Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of Kobli in Nigeria and management of ICLA database.

Partnership Coordinator is to implement delegated areas of logistics responsibility and deliver a variety of related activities, including compliance; capacity building of staff; procurement planning; market assessment/survey; high-value procurement; management of warehouse, and fleet; assets; securing supporting documentation/archiving; reporting and coordination for the NRC Jos and office. Partnership Coordinator is responsible for partnership management in close cooperation with Programme Coordinators and Finance Team. Partnership Coordinator will contribute to the partnership mandate and deliverables, building on NRC’s existing partnership processes and toolkit in line with NRC’s internal policies and procedures and sector standards.

Your Job Description

Generic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a harmonised approach to partnership between NRC programme response and NRC partners, in line with NRC policy, guidance notes, and toolkits.
  • Ensure that partners adhere to key compliance standards, including those set out in NRC Project Implementation Agreements, NRC Financial Handbook, and other relevant NRC policies, guidelines, donor, and auditor standards.
  • Lead the management of Project Implementation Agreements (PIA) with local partners and NRC staff, including due diligence and organisational capacity assessments, coordination of new partnership agreements, and management of existing partnerships, while tracking overall budget control and partner cash flows.
  • Lead training and coaching for partners on compliance requirements.
  • Lead on PCM activities and use of the NRC PCM framework for working with partners.
  • Represent NRC as the main focal point with partners on partnership-related and general issues, ensuring timely and consistent communication.
  • Work with programme teams to support mainstreaming safe and inclusive programming and the do-no-harm approach into partner projects and activities.
  • Support learning and development of NRC staff on partnership-related issues.

Specific Responsibilities

Partnership Mapping and Management

  • Contribute to mapping potential local partners and maintaining relationships with existing partners.
  • Act as the focal point for contracting and sub-granting issues with NRC partners.
  • Coordinate organisational assessment and vetting of potential partners in line with the NRC Partnership Toolkit.
  • Coordinate the development of Project Implementation Agreements between NRC and partners.
  • Conduct meetings with partners during contract negotiation stages, prepare presentations, and support effective communication and coordination.
  • Draft partnership agreements and contractual documents required for the implementation of new projects.
  • Support modification requests on existing PIAs in collaboration with programme and finance staff.
  • Ensure partner adherence to NRC requirements and support smooth project implementation.
  • Promote a structured and consistent approach to partnerships aligned with the Country Strategy and Partnership Strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Media and Communication Team to ensure visibility of partnerships in Nigeria and reflect programme stories and lessons learned.
  • Lead and track PCM meetings (Project Opening, Review, and Closure Meetings) within agreed timelines and follow up on outstanding partnership issues.
  • Perform monitoring visits to partners.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of NRC Nigeria’s partnership strategy and operational methodology.

Partnership Tracking & Filing

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of Partnership Trackers.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of partner projects in line with NRC Nigeria Country Office information management systems.
  • Ensure routines for securing supporting documentation in digital formats.
  • Ensure all partnership and project documents are filed, updated, and maintained according to NRC Nigeria filing standards.

Partnership Compliance & Capacity Sharing

  • Conduct partner orientation, training, and coaching on NRC and donor compliance requirements and provide timely implementation support.
  • Guide partners on compliance with NRC internal and donor requirements and support monitoring of compliance.
  • Support the development of structured partnership tools for assessment, capacity building, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Integrate partner feedback into tools and guidance to promote mutual learning.
  • Identify capacity development needs and coordinate systematic capacity sharing processes, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Lead and participate in communities of practice at country and regional levels on partnerships and compliance.

Other Duties

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Country Director, Head of Programme, and other relevant managers.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

The Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent (e.g., social sciences, international relations, education, development, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with an NGO and/or international organisation, preferably in partnerships and civil society strengthening.
  • Strong analytical skills (data and financial).
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Good coordination, communication (verbal and written), and networking skills.
  • Experience managing and coaching partners.
  • Excellent training and facilitation skills.
  • Experience or knowledge of anti-corruption best practices and processes is a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding of issues in complex emergencies and crisis contexts.
  • Ability to work under stress and high time or performance pressure.
  • Excellent ability to work independently with very limited supervision.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
