Your Job Description
Responsibilities
Maintenance of daily calibration record of relevant laboratory equipment.
Periodic validation of relevant equipment.
Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of all analysis performed and results.
Physical and chemical analysis of water, competitor’s samples, raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished products vis-à-vis the packaging materials based on agreed schedule.
Maintenance of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) with regards to handling of equipment, chemicals/reagents, work bench, equipment cleaning and maintenance, laboratory personnel outlook, handling of workbooks and laboratory environment.
Proper inventory of laboratory chemicals and consumables.
Maintain clean and updated record of calibration of relevant equipment.
Maintain clean and updated record of validation of relevant equipment.
Communicate test results to relevant parties in a clear and concise manner.
Maintain clean and updated record of water, competitor’s samples, raw materials, finished products and packaging materials results.
Chemicals, equipment and reagents are to be properly labelled; work benches are to be cleaned and maintained after use. Personnel is expected to adorn appropriate laboratory wears; workbooks are meant to be properly maintained while laboratory environment should be clean at all times.
Proper record of chemicals and consumables’ intake and consumption should be kept.
The Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
HND / BSC in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Science Laboratory Technology (SLT)
Required Experience
Very good computer skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access packages)
2–3 years experience
Proven work experience as a Laboratory Analyst or similar role in a laboratory
Excellent knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and protocols
Strong communication skills
Very good at handling numbers and figures
Ability to quickly spot improvement opportunities
Good time management skills
