Your Job Description
Key Functional / Technical Responsibilities
Ensure timely provision of accurate and complete financial and planning information to Project Managers.
Identify currency risks (exchange rates) and establish suitable measures.
Identify tax risks and establish suitable measures.
Verify costs with vendors and suppliers, estimate expenditures, and recommend cost-saving measures to the Project Manager.
Control and monitor total project expenditure, including verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Maintain close interface with the Accounts department and Project Management Team (PMT).
Ensure all supporting documentation for Project WBS, Project Milestones, Change Orders, Variations, etc., are generated at execution and properly recorded for invoicing or future PMT use.
Initiate Project Invoices, collate supporting documentation, and follow up with Client to ensure timely payment.
Review subcontractor invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and follow up on payment per respective subcontract agreements.
Cost control of projects:
Establish and control cost budget, and cost forecasting.
Perform cost cash flow forecasting per currency.
Allocate invoices to project codes.
Provide timely, accurate cost reports and register outgoing payments.
Revenue control of projects:
Establish and control revenue budget, and revenue forecasting.
Perform revenue cash flow forecasting per currency.
Prepare variation order requests.
Initiate project invoices to customers.
Provide timely, accurate revenue reports and register incoming payments.
Financial control of projects:
Review tender information and establish project budget.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of costs, revenues, and results.
Control project budget against actual and forecast, including variance analysis.
Identify and control financial risks, establish financial impact of variations, and control variation orders.
Assist in preparation of the financial chapter of close-out reports.
Maintain a database of financial statistics.
Ensure compliance of financial reports with company standards and project requirements.
HSSE Responsibilities
Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies.
Ensure visible commitment to HSE and stimulate a high level of HSE awareness in the Project.
Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management are implemented and maintained.
QA/QC Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and implement the Corporate Management System (CMS) documentation applicable to Project Control.
The Job Requirements
Job Requirement
BSc, preferably in Accounting, Business Economics, Finance, Engineering, or similar fields.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
ICAN certification or equivalent.
Cost control courses are commendable.
10–12 years’ minimum experience in a financial project environment in international contracting business.
Able to generate budgets and reports.
Proficiency in the use of MS Office and accounting software.
