Key Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

Assist CSUP acting as Cargo Operator, executing watches in CCR.
Understand the operation of the cargo and ballast systems.

Special Responsibilities

As the unit Cargo Operator, responsible during his watch for:

Be fully familiar with rules, regulations, and work procedures applicable to the task to be executed.
Monitor, control, and log imported and produced oil loading and distribution on board as instructed by the CSUP or OIM.
Be familiar with the PTW System.
Monitor, control, and execute export oil discharge as instructed by CSUP.
Monitor, control, and execute ballast operations as instructed by CSUP.
Monitor and control Fiscal Metering Unit operation during export oil discharge.
Monitor and control unit trim, draft, and hull stresses.
Monitor and record all safety equipment alarms received in the CCR.
Communicate via radio with the Process Deck as applicable.
Communicate via radio with the Export Tanker as applicable.
Communicate via radio with the Helicopter as applicable.
Communicate via radio with the supply boats as applicable.
Act as HLO Assistant when needed.
Ensure boat traffic and supply operations are controlled, efficient, and safe.
Maintain CCR logbook and storage tank status records.
Control people movement.

Certificates Training

Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch certificate – STCW95 Reg. II/1 and Flag state endorsement of recognition

Professional Qualifications & Experience

Have approved seagoing service of not less than one year as part of an approved training programme, including on-board training. This training must meet the requirements of section A-II/1 of the STCW code and be documented in an approved training record book. Otherwise, the seafarer must have approved seagoing service of not less than 36 months.
Have performed, during the required seagoing service, bridge watch-keeping duties under the supervision of the master or a qualified deck officer for a period of not less than 6 months.
Meet the applicable requirements of the regulations in chapter IV (GMDSS), as appropriate, for performing designated radio duties in accordance with the Radio Regulations.
Have completed approved education and training and meet the standard of competence specified in section A-II/1 of the STCW code.
Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-VI/1 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraphs 1 to 4, section A-VI/3 paragraphs 1 to 4, and section A-VI/4 paragraphs 1 to 3 of the STCW Code.
Very good English written and spoken.
