RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation and maintenance of gas and diesel generators, boilers, and air compressors.
- Repair and maintenance of fire hydrant pumps.
- Preparation of weekly energy reports.
- Periodic logging of generator, air compressor, and boiler running parameters.
- Daily logging of site electricity, steam, gas, and air meters.
- Troubleshooting faults on all utility equipment.
- Troubleshooting faults on general site electrical equipment.
- Monitoring stock levels of consumables and critical spares.
- Participation in management systems subscribed to by the department, including ISO45001, OHS, ISO14001, EMS, ISO50001, and EnMS.
- Providing necessary support for the continuous implementation of other management systems to maintain good product quality.
- Ensuring generators and utilities are available to meet load demand from production factories, with proper maintenance documentation.
- Ensuring mechanical equipment is available and in good condition for their intended purposes.
- Ensuring the fire hydrant pump is always operational in case of a fire incident.
- Maintaining up-to-date energy reports.
- Keeping accurate records of all generator running parameter log sheets for future reference.
- Rectifying faults to improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.
- Rectifying faults on site mechanical equipment to improve equipment availability and reduce downtime.
- Maintaining up-to-date stock levels of consumables and critical spares.
The Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- ND, HND, or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or any related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a related field.

- Very good computer skills, especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access packages.
- Strong communication skills.
