Construction Project Manager (Expatriate) at Adexen

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex vertical construction projects, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of cost, schedule, quality, and safety requirements within the Nigerian construction environment.

1. Project Planning & Execution

   • Lead the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through commissioning and handover.
   • Develop project schedules, methodologies, and construction strategies ensuring alignment with design and operational requirements.

2. Budget & Cost Control

   • Manage project budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
   • Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor/subcontractor management.

3. Timeline & Progress Management

   • Track progress against milestones using MS Project and other project control tools.
   • Implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.

4. Team Leadership & Supervision

   • Direct and supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and specialist consultants.
   • Promote a high-performance culture through clear communication, coaching, and accountability.

5. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance

   • Enforce compliance with local building codes, project specifications, and global safety standards (including OSHA).
   • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the highest levels of workmanship and safety.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

   • Interface with developers, architects, structural and MEP consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
   • Manage documentation for permits, approvals, and statutory compliance.

7. Risk Management

   • Identify construction risks and develop mitigation strategies.
   • Oversee change management processes and ensure transparent communication of impacts.
