As a Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking, you’ll give leadership and direction required to ensure that customer relationships are developed and maintained by providing excellent financial products and services that add value to the customer while minimizing costs and risk to the bank. You’ll acquire, manage, retain meaningful relationships with our customers, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs.
Your Job Description
Functions & Responsibilities
Draw up work schedules for identifying and marketing prospective customers.
Maintain good public relations with current and prospective customers.
Plan and report on marketing calls for the unit.
Structure credit facilities to address customers' needs and prepare/review credit proposals with the Group Head.
Monitor and ensure customers’ compliance with credit agreements.
Manage loan recovery and remediation.
Present to and defend proposals before the Credit Committee.
Provide on-the-job training for Account Officers.
Negotiate foreign exchange and credit rates with customers within limits set by the bank to ensure maximum profitability to the bank.
Monitor the unit’s performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
Prepare the team’s annual budget for consolidation and incorporation into the Group budget by the Group Head.
Prepare and present the Unit’s Monthly Profitability Report (MPR) to the Group.
Appraise supervised Account Officer(s).
Achieve all financial objectives and ratios.
Prepare periodic reports for the Regional Head.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Zonal Head.

Desired Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a bank, with 2–3 years in a team position.
A good first degree in any discipline. A relevant Master’s degree and/or a
recognized professional certification is an added advantage.
Good analytical aptitude with proven ability to learn and exercise sound judgment.
Consistently strong attention to detail.
Ability to be client-focused and results-oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and ethical attitude.
Knowledge of treasury services products is a plus.
Credit skills and experience, including financial accounting, commercial lending,
industry awareness, and loan structuring.
Knowledge of credit processes and approvals; ability to work with business and
risk officers, product partners, and clients on credit requests and resolutions.
Proven planning, negotiation, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize
and manage multiple client requests and projects.
