Team Lead, Product Control at First Bank

Job Description

• Review and update controls and drive process improvements around treasury operations on the Treasury Application.
• Coordinate daily validation of prior-day closing positions for Treasury Products, including Fixed Income Securities, Placements & Takings, and FX derivatives.
• Coordinate the validation of account balance consistency for Treasury Products between the Treasury Application and the Core Banking Application.
• Prepare and deliver Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Profit & Loss reports for Treasury Products for Trading Desks and other units.
• Monitor key controls and processes around daily P&L and balance sheet reporting, ensuring all controls are followed and reviewed promptly.
• Review journals generated by Product Control Officers and advance them for required approvals.
• Liaise with stakeholders including Treasury Operations, IT third-party support, Market and Liquidity Risk teams, External Auditors, and Regulators to achieve timely issue resolution.
• Review P&L trends and identify gaps and opportunities to support accurate forecasting.
• Provide advisory support to stakeholders on deal structures and the design of optimal booking models.
• Support the implementation of new Treasury systems and related banking applications.
• Develop and comply with the Product Control Process Manual.
• Develop and comply with Service Level Agreements with Market Risk, Treasury, Treasury Operations, and Information Technology units.
• Prepare monthly reports on movements in OCI positions.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or any related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA is required.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical ability combined with proven team leadership skills.
