Key Responsibilities
Increase revenue streams by closing high-value deals and expanding existing client relationships.
Build and maintain a robust client portfolio across private sector, government institutions,
and development partners.
Leverage existing pipelines while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Renew and expand business deals, generating additional revenue from both existing and new clients.
Contribute to the overall performance and drive of the business development team, owning processes
and collaborating across functions.
Act as a frontline lead in translating sales strategies into actionable initiatives for marketing
and communications teams.
Identify and participate in high-impact seminars, conferences, and industry events to strengthen client networks.
Lead the origination, proposal development, and negotiation of complex contracts with corporate,
government, and donor clients.
Collaborate with technical and program teams to align client needs with the company’s expertise
and deliver compelling solutions.
Represent the company in industry forums, corporate roundtables, investor events, and government platforms.
The Job Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, International Development, or related field;
Master’s degree (MBA or related) is highly desirable.
Minimum 5 years of progressive business development or consulting experience with proven success
in managing large accounts and generating revenue growth.
Demonstrated ability to build client portfolios, leverage existing pipelines, and secure
high-value contracts across private sector and government institutions.
Strong networks and relationships within the food industry, manufacturing, agribusiness,
investors, and government institutions.
Experience working with development partners is an advantage.
Proven track record in deal origination, pipeline management, and revenue generation.
Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
