The Branch Manager is responsible for the development, coordination, supervision, and implementation of operational and business activities in the bank’s branch. The job holder implements strategic plan to drive deposit mobilization, expand the loan portfolio, and achieve sales targets and revenue in line with budgetary projections.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure high-quality service by efficiently managing, developing, and using all available resources (staff, systems, and processes).
Drive deposit mobilization initiatives by developing strategies to attract new savings, current, and investment accounts from individuals, SMEs, and corporates.
Lead core loan product sales, including origination, structuring, and monitoring of retail and SME loans to achieve portfolio growth and maintain asset quality.
Ensure customers are migrated to more appropriate and cost-effective channels, while identifying and actioning cross-selling opportunities based on customer needs.
Achieve targeted growth in investment deposits, loan portfolio, and overall revenue.
Proactively identify and assess risks faced by the branch and reduce exposure by maintaining an effective system of controls.
Ensure the effective rollout of management initiatives to the branch.
Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
Manage assets (cash and cost accountabilities) with emphasis on containment of controllable costs.
Ensure overall operational readiness and efficiency of branch infrastructure (premises, assets, physical security, fraud prevention, losses, and differences).
Maintain effective control structures, with duties appropriately segregated, and recommend revisions of internal controls where appropriate.
Ensure dual controls, authority levels, and limits of access to information and systems are adhered to.
Develop marketing and relationship management strategies to achieve responsive sales targets for the branch.
Coach the relationship management team on product knowledge, especially deposit products and loan offerings.
Monitor and manage the performance and development of subordinates to ensure sustained profitability, compliance, and staff well-being.
The Job Requirements
Requirements
HND/BSc in Science, Social Science, or a related field (M.Sc. or a professional certification is an added advantage).
Completion of Microfinance Certification Programme.
Experience working in a Microfinance Bank.
Strong expertise and experience in deposit mobilization, loan sales, and credit analysis.
Strong financial analysis skills, including interpretation of financial statements and ratios.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
