Asset Management Business Development Manager at FirstRand Group

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Generates sales by growing assets under management.
• Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business, prepare proposals and make presentations.
• Maintain the right balance of assets under management across products to achieve the organisation's objectives.
• Increase Client’s wallet share by marketing an array of products and services that meet Client needs.
• Expand and enhance the distribution strategy both in existing and new markets.
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customers' needs.
• Develop and sponsor initiatives that will drive increased revenues and profitability in line with the firm's risk appetite and financial objectives.
• Actively participate in product strategy and development in conjunction with Product Management and Corporate Strategy.
• Cultivate collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst team and partners.
• Understand and ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory body's rules and ensure effective and timely resolution of any audit, compliance, or control issues arising.
• Act with integrity; due skill, care, and diligence.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in an Arts or Science or related technical fields
• Postgraduate qualification in Banking-related discipline, Finance, and Management; or MBA will be advantageous
• Experience distributing Mutual Funds, Structured Products and other asset management products
• Registration with Nigeria’s Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Sponsored Individual is desirable
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in asset management or similar environment
