Job Summary:
Supervise shift operations of assigned area of Power Plant to ensure efficient running of operations.
Your Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Look after the shift operations of the assigned power plant area efficiently.
Monitor and control operational parameters for all equipment within the assigned area.
Record all operating parameters and maintain accurate records for the respective area.
Handle emergencies promptly and effectively within the assigned area.
Independently manage power plant control room operations.
Independently handle the operation and control of the Distributed Control System (DCS).
Manage process and service unit startups and shutdowns competently without impacting units that must remain online.
Assist the shift manager in managing emergency situations.
Ensure efficient and effective shift operations to prevent plant equipment stoppage or trips due to human error.
Independently handle the operation of the Balance of Plant (BOP) area.
Ensure proper housekeeping of the assigned area.
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including system descriptions, logic and interlocks, and operating procedures for the assigned area, and present them during in-house training programs.
Update and maintain records of all activities and maintenance history for the assigned area, including updating key parameters in the control room system for analysis.
The Job Requirements
Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power option, or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
A minimum of five (6) years relevant work experience in gas based power plant with minimum of two (2) years experience in Control Room operations.
