Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy company providing reliable off-grid power solutions to businesses and homes across Nigeria. They are looking to hire an experienced Field Service Manager.

Role Summary

The Field Service Manager will lead and oversee field operations within the assigned region. The role is responsible for ensuring optimal system performance, service uptime, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This position involves managing field engineers, supervising maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting regional expansion initiatives.

Your Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Field Service Engineers across assigned clusters.

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of deployed solar installations.

  • Coordinate routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs.

  • Conduct site visits to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

  • Diagnose and resolve faults related to solar PV systems, inverters, and battery storage solutions.

  • Ensure service uptime and prevent operational disruptions.

  • Monitor and achieve operational KPIs and performance targets.

  • Conduct acceptance testing for newly deployed systems.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OEM guidelines.

  • Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

  • Support cost control initiatives and contribute to OPEX reduction.

  • Manage incident response for solar deployments within the region.

  • Coordinate with project teams for installation scheduling and service delivery.

  • Provide regular performance updates to senior engineering leadership.

  • Represent the company professionally in all customer and public interactions.

The Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in solar or power systems operations.
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience managing technical teams in field operations.
  • Ability to adapt to emerging technologies and changing environments.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace tools.
  • Valid driver’s license.
