About the Job
We are looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to join our Kiln section. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of the Kilns and Coal-Mills equipment.
Your Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance of the Kilns & Coal Mill equipment towards achievement of the set targets.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, opening and closing of SAP notifications, orders, and requests as and when due.
Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities to improve the uptime of the equipment.
Ensure proper spares planning, raising requirements in advance considering a lead time of at least 12 months and following up for the spares.
Ensure that the inventory in general stores with respect to the spares of the Kiln section is at the minimum level.
Ensure that safe work procedures and regular housekeeping are followed in all section activities to achieve zero accidents.
Evaluate mechanical technicians and keep them informed of their strengths, areas for development, and training needs.
Ensure on-the-job training of technicians to improve their knowledge and technical skills.
Ensure all daily activities and documentation meet statutory requirements and ISO standards.
Ensure that Kiln machinery is available to achieve the set production targets.
The Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of three (3) years of industrial experience.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven working experience as a mechanical engineer in the cement industry.
Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE, or other).
Knowledge of mathematical computing and analysis tools (Matlab, Excel, LabView, etc.).
Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
Creativity and strong analytical skills.
Ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly and understandably.
