About the Job

The Fund Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all investment decisions vis-à-vis settlement of trades on the Funds are carried out whilst ensuring that proper controls have been put in place.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare settlement instructions based on investment decisions and forward them to custodians, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Upload received price lists into the system.
Post and execute trade and investment transactions across all funds under management.
Prepare daily reports, perform cash and asset reconciliations, manage payments and fund transfers, and carry out monthly reconciliation of the fund’s portfolio against custodian positions.

The Job Requirements

Type of Qualification: University Degree

Field of Study: Finance and Accounting, with ACCA or ICAN or CIMA certification

Experience Required

3–4 years’ experience in Finance with product knowledge, effective communication skills, and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel and Word).
