The Trade Finance Representative provides critical support to the Trade Finance, Clearing, Procurement, and Treasury teams by ensuring seamless processing of import and export documentation and resolving shipment-related inconsistencies. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, minimizing delays in documentation processing, and ensuring compliance with trade finance regulations.

Your Job Description

THE JOB

Assist in processing trade finance documentation related to import and export transactions in line with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipment records and reports, including weekly tracking of PAAR (Pre-Arrival Assessment Report).
Work closely with Procurement and Clearing teams to ensure smooth pre-shipment and post-shipment activities across the group.
Monitor trade-related transactions to ensure timely processing and prevent delays that may result in demurrage.
Maintain proper documentation and filing systems to support audit and regulatory compliance.
Track shipment documentation and follow up with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or delays.
Support initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and cost visibility across trade finance processes.
Provide regular updates and reports to management on trade documentation status and shipment activities.

QUALIFICATION

Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field

Additional IT or analytical training will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
